We run three busy hospital sites at Peterborough, Huntingdon and Stamford and provide outpatient services in two community hospitals in Ely and Doddington. Our 6,000 staff serve a growing population of 750,000 across North Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

Main duties of the job

As a Bank Nurse you can undertake a variety of shifts with flexibility to support work life balance including early, late, long day and night shifts however hours and placements cannot be guaranteed.

Hourly Rates : Band 5 £13.12+ per hour; Band 6 £16.52+ per hour; Band 7 £20.48+ per hour

We are looking for reliable and self-motivated individuals with excellent communication skills. The ability to adapt to changing situations is essential. Our Bank Nurses are invaluable to us, and in return for their dedication and commitment, we offer the opportunity to work across all NWAFT sites and departments, gaining valuable skills and experience.

Education/Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Registered Nurse with minimum 1 year post Registration experience.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Accountability and responsibility, evidence based practice, reflective practice
  • Competence in clinical skills relevant to a staff nurse post including the clinical decision making process.
  • Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualities/

Essential criteria
  • Organised and able to work under pressure.
  • Able to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to embrace change to meet the short and long term needs of the Emergency Short Stay Unit and the Emergency Centre.
